John is a New York Certified Public Accountant with experience working with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), Peat Marwick Mitchell, and hedge fund trading experience as well as back office experience with Junction Partners and Atticus Capital. His experience at Peat Marwick Mitchell( Predecessor to KPMG) was in the area of auditing financial service firms. This led him to the hedge fund industry where he started as controller of Junction Partners, a 700M fund. After Junction closed down due to the retirement of the senior partner ,John moved over to Atticus Capital , which was a small startup being run by one of the former analysts at Junction. At Atticus Capital John was instrumental in setting up the back office as well as trading functions for this fund which has matured into a 7 billion dollar fund. Recently John decided to join Sasserath & Zoraian in starting up the new hedge fund consulting division. John believes he can leverage his 30 years of experience into a great asset for many startup and young hedge fund companies. His experience will allow a manager to focus on the operation of his fund rather than the administration of the fund.
